Bio:

Thitiphong received his bachelor’s degree in industrial design from the Department of Industrial Design at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree within the interactive telecommunication program of the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.

Artist Statement:

This is an interactive musical bowl that uses water to link human movement with changes in the soundscape. This idea came about from the group work I did at ITP at the Tisch School with Alvin Chang, Cyrus von Hochstetter and Yoonjo Shin. Depending where your hand goes, deep down or around the water’s surface, the music keeps changing. Astonishment, joy, contemplation and peace can be found when engaging with the sound, the movement and the natural touch connected through this body of water.
