Blissfully Thai Film Series at Asia Society
Celebrating the works of 6 key Thai filmmakers, the Blissfully Thai film series features seminal movies from that grew out of the renaissance of Thai cinema which began in the late 90s and has culminated with Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s Palme d'Or win at Cannes Film Festival in 2010 for Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives (2010). Highlights of the series include a discussion with Apichatpong Weerasethakul and Pen-ek Ratanaruang. TAA along with Thai-U.S. Creative Partnership is proud to be a co-sponsor of this event.
