Apichatpong Weerasethakul's Primitive at New Museum
"Primitive" marks the first New York exhibition devoted to the work of the internationally acclaimed Thai artist and filmmaker Apichatpong Weerasethakul at the New Museum. The exhibition features an installation of seven videos and related pieces that focuses on the social and political history of the farming village of Nabua and the activities of a group of male teenagers who are the "descendants of the lost generation of Nabua’s men." The exhibition also features related events, screenings and discussions.
